People in Sports and Their Jewelries

People in Sports and Their JewelriesHave you ever considered what type of jewelry do men in sports wear? Are they even allowed to wear one? Can they manage to put on some fashion accessories? Here is a brief explanation on what professional people in sports are permitted to put on while they are getting their game on.

NHL

Since most of these gamers body is protected on the ice (save the neck and face) by their consistent, skates, footwear, safety gloves and headgear, the NHL does not have any guidelines associated with what type of jewelry can be used during the experience. Since it’s a high-impact game, gamers are apt not to put on any type of earrings or jewelry during the games. As for pendants, provided that they don’t appear outside of the shirt they are permitted.

NFL

If there is one game that is extremely critical of what a gamer would wear on the area, it is the NFL (or as some lovers have known as it the “No Fun League”). Not only can you get punished for extreme party on the area, but also for dressed in non- approved footwear or shoes. And the guidelines begin from time someone strikes the area for pre-game practice all the way to time they leave the ground. Rules are even required during post activity interviews! Surprisingly, though, the NFL does not have extreme guidelines on what type of jewelry can be used on
the area. Since hands are mainly used for capturing and preventing, jewelry are generally not used as they could affect the capturing or tossing of a football. Necklaces and ear jewelry, however, are used, provided that they are within reason. Wristbands, however, must be protected at all-time. Did I mention that authorities review the entire activity afterwards to make sure (once again) that no one broke consistent guidelines during the game? Wow.

NBA

In the past several years the commissioner’s office has started to come down hard on NBA gamers with a new dress code that has limited what a gamer could use before and after an activity. This is extended to the judge where NBA gamers are prohibited to put on any type of jewelry. This means earrings; bracelets, jewelry and pendants are all no-no’s. The only accessories permitted on the judge are joint and shoulder tooth braces, headbands and, of course, tattoo designs.

MLB

Major League Football, however, seems to have a very generous policy when it comes to jewelry. Basically you can use any type of jewelry unless an umpire as “distracting” considers it or can intervene with the experience. In other words, pitchers can’t use jewelry as they might damage the football and no massive replicated pendants that might disturb the mixture from the football (not that anyone is thinking of dressed in it, but you get the idea).

Seems most activities don’t allow for jewelry, not even men’s engagement jewelry, so what’s a guy to do? Keep that band somewhere safe until the experience is over!
